Courtney Hope on CBS’ The Bold and The Beautiful
1. Who or what inspired you to become an actress/model? It was something I have always wanted to do. I remember watching shows as a young kid and wanting to move people the way they moved me. But I was always an entertainer, loved being in front of the camera and telling stories.
2. You are well known for playing "Sally Spectra" on CBS' The Bold and The Beautiful. What made you want to audition for The Bold & The Beautiful? I love tackling cool roles, and I felt the role was really fun and I could bring a lot to it. I was happy they thought the same. I didn’t know at that time it was “Sally Spectra,” I just knew she was a designer and very spunky and feisty.
3. What do you relate to most about "Sally"? I love her honesty and her heart. “Sally” is always telling it as it is, but she cares how it comes out as to not offend the other person. She truly is a good person and I really relate to that.
4. What is one characteristic of hers you are glad you yourself do not possess? “Sally” can be a bit self deprecating and that drives me crazy. I don’t care for being mean to myself and knocking myself down all the time. “Sally” is getting better about that, but all in all, she could be kinder to herself.

5. You are also on one of my all time favorite game shows and I LOVE seeing you on there - The Price Is Right. When did you want to be a model on the show? How long did it take you to get the job from audition to signed contract? I actually didn’t audition for The Price Is Right. They film on the stage next to mine and they were selecting a few new models and reached out to BOLD to see if I was interested. I, of course, said yes. I absolutely love it over there. I have been modeling since I was a child too, so it’s just another thing that I love to do. It totally made sense to go ahead and tackle something new.
6. What are some fun stories you can tell us about being on the show? There are a ton of good stories of the contestants being extremely excited, that I couldn’t pick just one. I absolutely LOVE how light hearted everyone is over there and how they all just truly enjoy being there. It is such a great energy, that I am very thankful I get to be apart of it.
7. What is your favorite game on the show? I enjoy Hi-LOW or any game that consists of knowing which item is higher or lower because they seem the easiest for me. I don’t do well with knowing the price of shopping items, so I feel more confident with the simpler ones.
- They go too hard too fast and either burn out or hurt themselves
- They set body goals that don’t relate to their body type
- They get in shape for the wrong reasons
I feel like health and wellness is all about being the healthiest you can be according to you and your body alone. There are no two people that benefit from the same training, diet and routine. It’s all about finding what works for you, finding something sustainable and inspiring and being willing to go through some trial and error before you find what works.
13. When you are not acting or teaching fitness, you can be found taking pictures or painting. If you could photograph or paint the perfect picture, what would "picture perfect" be for you? Textured Clouds in the sunlit sky. My favorite thing to do as a child was lay on the concrete or grass and look up at the cloud filled Texas sky. The possibilities were endless. There was always a new perspective to be seen and it was ever changing. The clouds moved so effortlessly with the wind and didn’t care if they were changed because regardless they were beautiful, interesting and never ending.
I think about those clouds all the time and love to sit outside in my backyard to this day and do that same thing. I think that is the perfect picture to me because it reminds me that change is good, our imaginations are so important and possibilities are endless if you focus on the beauty of life.
14. What is something people don't know about you that you would like to tell us? I love to write poetry. My grandmother and father have written poetry since I can remember and I think it is such a beautiful way to look at life, almost a necessity. I love to write in my journal all the time, it brings me joy.
