It has been said that Daytime Soap Opera fans are some of the most dedicated fans in the world and I am living proof just how true that is.

I have loved watching Rebecca Budig as "Greenlee Smythe" on ABC's All My Children. 

So when she was going to be appearing at the Brokerage Comedy Club on Long Island for a Soap Opera Event, you bet I bought a ticket!

I am so honored to now be able to speak with Rebecca about her life and career!

1. Who inspired you to become a performer? I was inspired by the TV show Fame...so who was that? Irene Cara? :) and truthfully, watching soaps growing up made me want to be an actress.

2. Who is the one person you haven't worked with that you would like to? There are so many people I would LOVE to work with. Alec Baldwin, Christopher Walken, too many to name.

3. Do you have any strange or unusual talent that no one knows about? If I did, I wouldn't share it!

4. If you could dream about anyone while you sleep, who would it be? My grandparents so I could spend more time with them.

5. Who do you consider to be your hero? My parents.

6. Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts? What do you order? Starbucks and I order the egg white turkey breakfast sandwich and an iced coffee with extra ice.

7. Favorite kind of shoes? Anything with 4 inch heels or my clogs.

8. Books or magazines? Books. Books. Books. Books.

9. Favorite website? Gilt Groupe

10. Superman or Wonder Woman? Wonder Woman. I played a good one as a kid 🙂

Rebecca Budig is best known for originating the role of "Greenlee Smythe" on ABC's All My Children, which she played from 1999-2005 & 2008-2009. The role of "Greenlee" has brought Rebecca world-wide recognition.

She has nominated twice for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress (2001 & 2003) as well as a special Daytime Fan Award for "America's Favorite Couple", a nomination she shared with her co-star Josh Duhamel who portrayed "Leo du Pres" in 2002. In 2003, Rebecca won a Soap Opera Digest Award for "Outstanding Younger Lead Actress."

Prior to All My Children Rebecca spent three years portraying "Michelle Bauer" on Guiding Light from 1995-1998.

Other career highlights include her acting debut in Aerosmith's music video "Living on the Edge," a cameo role in Batman Forever, portraying a teenager saved by Chris O'Donnell's "Robin," the leading role in Lifetime Television's The Perfect Child as well as guest appearances on such hit television shows as Out of Practice, Hope & Faith, and CSI (Season 8, episodes 9 & 10).
